Do you know that Blogger/Google no longer lets you link to outside sites when you comment? You have to create a Blogger acount now. For what to do, check out Suburban Oblivion This is not my site, but I hate those word verification things on Blogger anyway. No linky love is just being mean of Google.So i went to Suburban Oblivion and what i read made me more than annoyed. i mean, most people who wander into my blog won't comment - As much as i'd love them all to - and they're definately NOT going to do it if they have to register an account before hand.
So, i have switched my comments over to Haloscan. some of you may already familiar with this service. But for those of you who aren't... it essentially lets ANYONE comment on my blog and leave their URL with their comment - making it possible for myself or anyone else to go and out-click from the comments to their site. Hooray.
Also, if you're reading my blog, and you DON'T have a blog of your own, you can still comment... (i'm looking at you B-rad.... i know you read this, and i know you think you'll *spoil the magic* if you comment, but i bet my readers would love it if you said hello....)
Sadly, i lost all my comments when i switched over to haloscan... and after the initial heart attack i thought to myself: "Self - " (and i knew it was me cuz i recognized my voice) "don't worry, you still have the comments in your email...and now hopefully more people will want to comment because it's more user friendly" so... prove me right, readers!
