The support staff for the local University are on strike.
Today, i had to drive to Staples to buy supplies for the office and drove past the picket line - not once, but twice.
i merrily toot-tooted my horn all the way down the looooong college drive.
the picketers wearily waved in the general direction of the traffic.
it's not JUST that i support them and their demands for better everything, but also, i liked making all the other NON-HONKERS feel a little ashamed for not honking too.

I understand why they are striking, but their strike has cost my children their Christmas.
Seems everyone will vote no on Tuesday and the strike will last till January.
It's enough to make me cry
