There once was a lantern named Jack
Who couldn't pick up all the slack
A trick-or-treating they went
Lots of candy was spent
From the hole in the side of Jack's sack.

On Halloween night
I saw such a sight
A ghost on my stoop
It gave me a fright
My heart skipped a beat
Then I saw it had feet
I laughed at myself
As it said Trick or Treat!

There once was a gremlin
didn't believe in heaven
Got hit by a bus
now he's down here with us.
Melsie:
There once was a Diva ghost,
Who had a Halloween shaker to host.
She set out the punch
And treats they could munch
Set her toys by the door,
To sell to some whore
lit the jackolantern light
Carved perfect for that night
Put on a CD that was live
And waited for her guests to arrive.

You have to picutre someone reading it wearing all black (b/c that's artistic) sitting on a stool on a stage with the spotlight on her, all slow and dramatic like.

Good thing you didn't specify it had to be a GOOD poem. LOL. Don't let Ms. Red see this. She thought maybe I could do a decent limerick. I don't want her to lose respect for me all at once. :( LOL.
Oh, and I will post about my prize hopefully tomorrow! Thank you, buddy for allowing us (well, me, anyway - the rest of your entries were good) untalented slobs to be included in the games! :)

Wow. My masterpiece is finally published! Just kidding. When I saw the treat on your page and decided to play along, I thought and still think it is a great idea. A way to make new friends. I've been given the treat 3 times, and each time it feels nice to know someone has thought of me.

Aw crap am I too late for the Halloween poem? I still haven't come up with anything good! Good things take time you know! And I have a bit of the writer's block, is there a cure for that?
Paige - yes...lots of drugs. lol.
i'm just kidding. Sometimes it just takes the phyical action of putting a pen on a piece of paper and just spewing. Babble. Somwhere in there, in your subconcious babbling will be a gem worth saving and building upon.
